I'm not sure what this is, but you've captured the texture of the metal as well as the burlap (?) very well. For a clean abstract, I might have cropped off the top to a point to eliminate that metal piece on the top left. It doesn't do anything to enhance the composition, and in fact makes me try to figure out what the item is. If it were gone, I could just focus on the shapes and the textures and the composition without wondering what it is I'm looking at. You are building a very nice photo grouping!
Thanks for the hint Buffmufin, the cropped version looks more interesting indeed. There were two distracting "things": the tube on the upper left corner and a reflection on the lower right one. Now it is more focused on the angled tube and the rusty texture is highlighted.
